You may find yourself:
Anxiety can be exhausting. It can affect your relationships, work, physical health, and overall quality of life. Many people living with anxiety become so accustomed to feeling stressed and overwhelmed that they begin to believe it is simply part of who they are.
The good news is that anxiety is not something you have to manage alone.
Many people living with anxiety do not realize how much energy they spend trying to stay in control, avoid uncertainty, or manage uncomfortable emotions.
You may notice:
Anxiety can show up differently for everyone. For some, it feels like constant worry. For others, it appears as burnout, overachievement, emotional overwhelm, or difficulty slowing down.
Many adults who seek therapy for anxiety are highly capable, responsible, and caring individuals. They often appear calm and successful on the outside while carrying significant stress internally.
Sometimes anxiety develops in response to life circumstances. Other times, it is connected to earlier experiences, relationships, or patterns that helped you adapt and survive difficult situations.
Understanding the roots of anxiety can create opportunities for lasting healing and change.
My work integrates Compassionate Inquiry, somatic psychotherapy, mindfulness, nervous system regulation, and person-centred therapy.
Together, we explore not only the symptoms of anxiety but also the underlying patterns, beliefs, emotions, and experiences that may be contributing to it.
Rather than trying to eliminate anxiety, we work to better understand what it may be communicating and develop new ways of responding with greater awareness, compassion, and choice.
Healing often begins when we stop fighting ourselves and start listening with curiosity.
I Support Adults Experiencing
Many of the clients I work with are carrying a lifetime of responsibility, self-criticism, or emotional overwhelm and are looking for a gentler, more sustainable way of living.
Anxiety therapy is not about becoming fearless. It is about developing a different relationship with yourself and your emotions.
Clients often report:
Over time, many people discover that the constant pressure they have been carrying no longer needs to define their lives.
Anxiety is not only experienced in the mind. It is also experienced in the body.
Together, we work to better understand your nervous system and develop practical tools to support regulation, resilience, and emotional well-being. As your nervous system learns that it is safe to slow down, many anxiety symptoms naturally begin to soften.
Healing does not require you to have everything figured out before you begin.
If you are curious about whether anxiety therapy may be helpful, I invite you to schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation. Together, we can explore what you are looking for and whether we are a good fit to work together.
I provide anxiety therapy for adults throughout Ontario through secure virtual sessions. In-person appointments are available in Port Severn, serving Georgian Bay, Midland, Muskoka, Orillia, Barrie, and surrounding communities.
