
I’m Michelle Peddle, a Registered Psychotherapist with a Doctorate in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am a dedicated counsellor and yoga therapist specializing in substance use disorders (addictions), depression, anxiety, trauma-related conditions, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD), as well as eating disorders. My mission is to create a safe and nurturing environment where you can feel at ease, connect, and let down your defenses.

My healing journey began in my early 20s during a challenging period in my life. Seeking guidance from a spiritual psychotherapist introduced me to the healing practices of Buddhism and Reiki, setting me on a path of personal transformation.

Earned a degree in Sociology and pursued a Post-Graduate Diploma in Addiction Counselling, gaining critical insights into mental health and addiction treatment.

Completed my first Yoga Teacher Training in Kundalini Yoga, which transformed my life and deepened my passion for holistic wellness.

Opened MYTYOGA studio in Ontario dedicated to yoga, mindfulness, and holistic healing.

MYTYOGA was recognized by the Yoga Alliance as a Yoga Teacher Training school, and I developed a comprehensive 200-hour Classical Yoga Teacher Training program.

Graduated from Athabasca University with a Master's in Counselling Psychology, becoming a Registered Psychotherapist.

As an International Yoga Teacher, I taught the Beyond Addiction Program in Amritsar, India, integrating my knowledge of addiction recovery into my practice.

Completed my Doctorate in Counselling and Psychotherapy, empowering me to integrate evidence-based practices into my work.
My therapeutic approach combines Eastern spiritual practices with Western psychology, offering a truly individualized healing experience. I provide an evidence-based and spiritually aligned framework to help you navigate toward inner peace and personal growth.

I am a proud Métis woman born in Mi'kma'ki (Halifax, Nova Scotia), the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq People. I have lived across Canada and now call Nottawasaga (Wasaga Beach, Ontario) home. Currently, I work and play in Georgian Bay Township, honouring the lands of the Ojibwe, Odawa, and Pottawatomi peoples.
My traditional name is Yellow Turtle Woman, and I am a member of the Marten Clan, holding the colours purple, pink, and orange. As a member of Painted Feather Woodland Métis, I integrate my cultural identity into my therapeutic practice, aiming to create a welcoming space for all clients.
