Welcome to my counselling and psychotherapy practice. I'm Michelle, and I’ve witnessed the profound impact of blending Eastern spiritual practices with Western psychology since my early 20s. This unique perspective informs my approach, allowing me to draw from diverse practices, philosophies, and theoretical frameworks tailored to your individual healing journey.
Specializing in substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, and complex post-traumatic stress disorders, I strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where you can relax, connect, and let down your defences. With a foundation rooted in kindness, empathy, and insight, I am dedicated to supporting you in your pursuit of inner peace and personal growth. My ongoing commitment to learning ensures that I bring the best evidence-based practices to you. Together, we can explore opportunities for healing, growth, and reconnection with your true self.

First and foremost, congratulations! I commend you for taking this important step in your journey toward healing, and I am honoured to accompany you on this path. Acknowledging that something isn’t working and reaching out for help is a significant achievement.
Before we begin our therapeutic journey together, I invite you to schedule a 15-minute consultation. This initial meeting enables us to discuss your needs and goals, ensuring that we are a good fit for one another. It’s an opportunity for you to ask any questions and for me to understand how I can best support you. Building a strong therapeutic relationship is crucial for effective healing, and this consultation serves as a valuable first step in that process.
In our conversation, we may explore topics that you haven't thought about in a long time. Therapy can evoke a range of emotions and memories, so it’s essential to come prepared for this possibility.
Please remember that everything you share is confidential, with a few exceptions: if there is reason to believe you may harm yourself or someone else, if I am subpoenaed to court, or if an incident occurs during our session that requires me to contact your emergency contact. For more detailed information on confidentiality, I encourage you to review Standard 3.1.
I also want to emphasize that finding the right therapeutic fit is crucial. If at any point you feel that my approach doesn’t resonate with you, that’s completely okay. You are welcome to explore other Registered Psychotherapists, and I recommend checking out Psychology Today for additional options.
