The program has a focus on spiritual development and personal growth. The training is nine months long, allowing you to integrate the teachings, apply them to your life, and ask questions as they arise.

The Yoga Teacher Training & Self Realization program typically takes place on the last weekend of every month. The training is nine months long, allowing you to integrate the teachings, apply them to your life, and ask questions as they arise. The Yoga Teacher Training & Self Realization program starts in September and finishes in May. On the Saturdays and Sundays that we meet, hours are 9 am - 5 pm with a one-hour lunch break.
The program has a focus on spiritual development and personal growth. Michelle pulls in on her previous training in psychology and can provide tools and techniques to help you advance on your journey. Personal development is key to self-realization. This Yoga Teacher Training & Self Realization program is unique and designed for you!
The workshops and seminars are tailored to the group, so no two programs will run the same. Some years we have Naturopath come to teach us cleansing techniques, while other years, we have Physio Therapists explain pelvic health to us. At times we have had Spiritual Psychotherapists do workshops with us. Every month there are guest speakers, including Erin Byron, Michelle's Guru.
There is great value in having mentorship from your teacher. It's a time when you get individual attention to answer all your questions. These monthly mentoring sessions allow you to go deeper into your practice by looking at and addressing your personal needs.
The books picked for this program are books that you will repeatedly read for many years to come. You can purchase them from MYTyoga at a discounted price at your local bookstore or rent them from your library. The book list is short, with only five required texts.
Connecting to mother earth is crucial for intuitive development. MYTyoga is a 7-minute walk to Georgian Bay, the longest freshwater beach in the world. Every weekend includes a walk down the beach regardless of weather, so come dressed accordingly.
1. Congratulations on making this decision! Ask Michelle to email you the application form.
2. Complete the application form and return it by email.
3. Once your application is received and reviewed, Michelle will call you to schedule a consultation appointment to discuss your needs and the program's requirements.
4. After your consultation appointment and you and Michelle have agreed that you are a good fit for each other, you will receive a welcome package. The package contains a few books that you will need for the program. Michelle has them in the studio, and you can purchase them at a discounted rate. You can also buy them at your local bookstore.
6. The program requires you to attend three counselling/energy sessions with a therapist/energy worker of your choice. The best teachers have their teachers! By doing your work, you adhere to her mission statement and ensure that you are supported on this journey.
Deciding to invest in yourself is massive! Make sure to celebrate it. Bask in that feeling because it's a big deal. I'm honoured and so happy to be on this journey with you.
I remember when I decided to sign up for Sat Dharam's Yoga Teacher Training program. I studied Classical Yoga. I was so excited, nervous, scared, happy. There was a list of emotions I cycled through. The cycle is the same as when I signed up for the next Yoga Teacher Training program I took, Erin Byron's Yoga Therapy Training, or when I quit my government job and went to India for a month.
Once you decide to embark on this journey, you may notice some changes. Those changes may include having more dreams, change in friendships, you may start purging. Be gentle with yourself and try to stay grounded.
The program is one weekend for nine months and consists of 18 direct contact hours. If you miss more than one weekend, we have a chat ensuring that you can complete all required criteria and graduate.
The total cost of the program is $3,300.00 plus HST. There are four different types of payment plans, so don't let money be the barrier to taking the program. If none of these payment plans work, come up with your own! There is a $300 discount if full payment is received 1-month before the start date.
One of the common questions I get is knowing which program to pick? Get to know your teachers, find out where they trained, talk to previous students and look where they are. Trust your inner voice as it will never guide you astray.
MYTyoga is located in Tiny, and there aren't a lot of restaurants. Most people bring a lunch and spend the hour eating and mingling with peers in the studio. Please ensure that your food is vegetarian-friendly for the weekend, adhering to the first limb of yoga.
MYTyoga is located out in the country. A concern many people have is winter driving. The YTT consists of 1 weekend a month which equates to 3-4 weekends that may impact us. There is always a make-up weekend included in our sessions if we have to cancel a session due to weather.

A 9-month Self-Realization Program
Michelle's YTT program is not just about learning how to become a yoga instructor. For me, the lessons learned have shown up in my parenting, teaching, marriage, and the way I lead my life. Michelle, her program, and her space is inclusive and non-judgmental. The program becomes your own! She caters to individual interests, and has a way of leading everyone to their own discoveries. Michelle, thank you for introducing me to the philosophies and practices that help guide me towards my personal intentions. May the bright sun shine upon you, and your past and future students. Namaste - Emily B. YTT Graduate, Class of 2017
Are you looking for a community of like-minded people? Want to enhance your spiritual, mental and physical practice? Are you looking for your perspective on life to change or to effortlessly float through life as opposed to barely keeping your head above water? Michelle has guided me in a direction I never knew existed. Who knew there was so much more to a yogic lifestyle then just the physical practice? I completed my 200HR YTT with Michelle’s Yoga and Therapies in 2018 and continue to see subtle shifts occurring in my mind, body and spirit today. The journey Michelle takes you on is something everyone needs to experience for themselves. She has provided me with an array of knowledge, tools and self-confidence to learn how to master my mind and enhance my spiritual connection all while living a yogic lifestyle. I had no idea that life could be so easy until I met Michelle. Forever grateful. Emily G. YTT Graduate, Class of 2018
I am so thrilled that I decided to take Michelle’s 200 HR YYT when I did. I thought that maybe it wasn’t the right time for me personally, but all of life’s signs were leading me in that direction. When the opportunity came to me, I knew I had to reach out to her and make the first move. I had been living a stressful, unsatisfying life prior to starting the training. After doing the course, I can honestly say that my life has completely transformed in the most amazing way’s. Michelle is an amazing human, and a wealth of knowledge and support. I am so happy with my decision to stick close to home and take her course. I was welcomed into the small group with open arms, have built some amazing relationships, and learned SO much about myself and a healthier way of living. Thank you Michelle and my YYT sisters for changing my life, and allowing me the open environment to be myself and grow into the person that I was meant to be. Paige. YTT Graduate, Class of 2019
~ All My Relations ~
I am a Métis woman, and my people come from the Abenaki First Nation in Kebec (Quebec). I was born in Mi'kma'ki (Halifax, Nova Scotia), the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq People. However, I call Nottawasaga (Wasaga Beach, Ontario) - the traditional territory of the Anishnaabe people of the Three Fires Confederacy home. I want to acknowledge that I am currently working, living, and playing on the traditional territories of the Ta’an Kwäch’än Council and the Kwanlin Dün First Nation (Whitehorse, Yukon).
